Urinary Tract Infections: Epidemiology, Mechanisms of Infection, and Treatment

Purpose: The main purpose of this study was to determine the mechanism infection and response preferred antibiotic treatment during study. Study: This conducted from February March 2022. approval for randomized taken by Ethical Committee concerned hospital. Written informed consent signed all participants. Total 110 participants who reported problems with UTIs were part Levofloxacin 750 mg per day five days ciprofloxacin 500 twice ten given patients treatment. Results: total number 110, 65 (59.09%) males 45 (40.90%) females having a mean age 28 ± 5, urinary tract abnormalities observed in (25.45%) including obstruction 16 (14.54%) patients, stone 8 (7.27%)cases, neurogenic bladder 4 (3.63%) poly-microbial etiology 25 (22.72%) catheterized 35 (31.81%) which chronic catheter cases 15 (13.63%), intermittent 20 (18.18%), Complicated found 22 (20.02%). 55 treated levofloxacin 51 (46.36%) positive not cured p-value 0.05. 48 (43.63%) 7 (6.36%) had higher percentage 46.36% than those Ciprofloxacin.
